Digital Health solutions have been playing a crucial role on patient recovery the last few decades by supporting and monitoring exercises, ensuring their effectiveness, and providing information that is key for a successful treatment. With the objective of leveraging results through progress guidance and tracking, KINFINITY has created the self-learning intelligent mocap Bandage (simBa) by using motion tracking sensor technology initially designed for robot control and human-machine interaction of the space industry. Therefore, the sHoulder and Elbow Assisted rehabilitation (HEAL) Project has the intention of enhancing and fostering working solutions in the Rehabilitation Robotics domain. The HEAL project will allow rehabilitation professionals to track and monitor patient’s progress in the RC (Rehabilitation Center) and at home, which will subsequently reduce the workload that is currently saturating the healthcare staff and increasing the motivation of the patients in the ongoing therapy sessions.
