IMPETUS Plastics Engineering GmbH is an internationally operating partner for product development with in-depth knowledge of plastics technology. We develop holistically, across all industries and, in addition to many years of experience from a large number of projects, have a high degree of creativity for innovative ideas. Development projects have already been realized in a wide variety of industries, including medical technology, white goods, heating-sanitary-air conditioning, and automotive. The ability to adapt to the respective industry-specific conditions and to deliver high-quality results on time and on target has made us a valued development partner for many years.
We develop products from the idea to the finished product and provide support from prototype construction to the test phase. This includes the development fields: project management, concept studies, series- and production-suitable design, prototype building, dimensioning and simulation of parts/ assemblies or tools, support of tool building as well as optical measurement of components. Depending on the customer’s requirements, we cover all or only some of these fields. Our customers commission us both for large full-scale projects and for individual services, e.g. a simulation to prove manufacturability. At customer request, we also offer the procurement of injection molds and manufacture prototypes as well as small series. Our goal is to ensure an optimum product in terms of form and functionality within a defined time and financial framework.
IMPETUS Plastics Engineering was founded in 1999 and currently employs almost 20 people. Since October 2001 our head office is located in Aachen (Mostardstraße 22, 52062 Aachen). The main focus at this location is the design of parts for series production, the measurement of parts by means of optical 3D-measuring technology (GOM) and the support of customers up to the series production. We use different design programs (Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, CATIA and Nx) to be able to work interface-free to the customer. Our second location is in Bad Aibling (Bahnhofstraße 9, 83043 Bad Aibling) with spatial and content proximity to Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. The focus at this loaction is on concept development, simulation and tool support. Simulation using modern calculation and simulation software includes both FEM and rheological sumlation. Another part of the company, the technology center, is also located in Bad Aibling, where machines for small series production are found. These include injection molding machines, 3D printers, a tensile testing machine and a milling machine.
Since July 22, 2020, IMPETUS Plastics Engineering GmbH is part of the GPE Group, which is located in Dassow, Neumünster, Nagold, Seebach and Târgu Mureș (Romania). The GPE Group focusses on medical technology, particularly in the areas of anesthesia, ventilation, monitoring and medication. Within the Group, IMPETUS acts as an independent development service provider.
Since beginning of 2022 we are certificated according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
