Developing service robots for healthcare applications

Description

Fraunhofer IPA has more than 20 years of experience in developing service robots for healthcare applications. We are developing robots supporting elderly persons at home (see e.g. Care-O-bot development series) as well as specialist robotic solutions to support staff in elderly care homes or hospitals (e.g. intelligent care cart, service assistant, robotic lifter). Our expertise comprises robot hardware development as well as relevant software components such as environment perception, autonomous navigation and manipulation. We can also use our existing robots such as Care-O-bot 4 and MobiKa to quickly develop new applications. Our end user network allows us to also take them into practise and evaluate them in real environments.
