Abstract

Standard care addressing tumor treatment is not free of side effects. Classic surgery implies incision, while chemotherapy and radiotherapy feature toxicity issues.  Soundsafe Care proposes a totally non-invasive oncological treatment by combining focused ultrasound and robotics. Focused ultrasound is a promising technology that allows to produce a localized therapeutic effect on a target (i.e., a tumor), with no incisions or side effects for the surrounding tissues. Secondly, robotics guarantees automation, precision and safety throughout the treatment.  Our DV project aims at creating a professional dissemination video of the Soundsafe device, that can show the advantages of using robotics and automation in ultrasound surgery.
